Students wishing to apply for first form at Maud Williams High School must have completed Std. 6 and sat the Primary School Exam. All applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

  • A completed application form
  • A copy of the following documents
    • Copy of birth certificate/passport
    • Valid social security card
    • Passport sized photo
    • Standard five and six report card

All students who apply are considered for admission. Information gathered is used to identify and identify programs that will improve academic performance and behavior. All applicants are informed of the outcome of their application through email, mailed correspondence and electronic messaging. Students with good track record and good recommendation are informed immediately.

Registration

  • Successful applicants complete the process of registration when they accept the offer of a space. Acceptance of the offer of a space and registration constitute acceptance by the parents and students, of the policies, rules and regulations of the school. Students accepted into Maud Williams High School are required to attend an orientation with parents/guardian, to introduce them to the school policies

  • Successful applicants will sit a diagnostic test in Reading and Math.

  • All students accepted into first form are required to attend summer classes in Math, English/Reading and Study Skills for three weeks.

  • All students will attend the MWHS Summer Academy. This is a three program offered in the 2nd to 4th week in July that focuses on study and technology skill building, as well as Reading and Mathematics.

  • Only students wishing to transfer to first through third form will be considered. Students wishing to transfer from other high schools are admitted provided that space is available. Such students must also complete and submit an application form, along with a copy of the social security card, a transcript and a letter of recommendation from the Principal and Homeroom Teacher of the previous school. To determine acceptance, transferred students will be interviewed. Once accepted they will sign a contract and be placed on probation for one academic year.

  • Non- Belizean students who apply for admission, must produce evidence of residence status along with the other required document. These students must pay full tuition plus all other required school fees.

  • Parents are required to participate in parenting workshop during September and November to learn strategies and communication skills to assist students in coping with school.

  • All students, whether First, Second, Third or Fourth Formers, must register before the beginning of the school year. Parents are informed in writing of the schedule for registration and of whatever charges that must be met. In the event that a returning student is unable to meet registration on date given the parents/guardian need to come in and make arrangements with the school as it relates to the payment plan.

*The Registration period coincides with the application period (i.e. March to July.)
